That is a good day for us. It's not something we want to do all the time, but this opportunity was too good. We had to go ahead and take advantage of it.

Any time you've got a good point guard, you're way ahead of the game. Any time you've got a good center, you're way ahead of the game. Any time that combination has a good feel for each other . . . it has a tremendous impact on the game.

We're playing on a really good field over there and against a good team. It's a good opportunity to get ahead of the game. We need to win the series over there bad.

We thought he'd fit in with us as a third point guard , as a good defender, and he'd become a good scorer over in Europe. What he's done for us recently has been a good story. He's sitting over in Spain wanting to be where he is today, and he's gotten an opportunity and is taking advantage of it.

I guess sometimes good things happen when you don't expect it. I'm happy for Todd. It's a good opportunity for him and for Lance, too. Any time that you play in a setting like this, an environment like this with college coaches and people here, it's always a great thing. They both took advantage of it. They both played real well (Sunday) and played hard. I'm proud of them.

It turned out to be a good decision for him. We got a chance to see a little bit of what he was capable of last spring, but the difference this time is he's been given more of a stage to demonstrate his skills. He's been here the entire time and has had the opportunity to play in quite a few of the games. So, it's been a good opportunity for him to show what he can do.

It's just a matter of accepting your role. I just have to take advantage of the opportunity. The advantage is that you get to see what's going on out there and then, when you get in, you can be a step ahead.

It's just stamina and being able to play at a consistent basis for a longer period of time, ... That's due to his offseason conditioning and preparation. That's good. He's a good player. We want him to play more than five or six plays in a row. We want him to play 10 plays on a 10-play drive, and he's been able to do that. He's taken advantage of his opportunity.

It was a good day for us. Obviously the defense is ahead of the offense at this time, which we expected that. There is some good teaching out here and we have a lot to work on to be a good football team.

He's getting the opportunity and taking advantage of it. He showed he can hit. He's not a pretty hitter, but he has good hand-and-eye coordination. He puts the good part of the bat on the ball. He knows how to play.

This is the time for a tremendously talented guy to take advantage of a tremendous opportunity. I see nothing but greatness ahead for him. There's no question that Rudy will fulfill the promise that those people who draft him have in him.

This is my last time with these guys, I wouldn't miss it for anything. You want to play . . . let's just go ahead and tough it out for one more. But I've been dealing with this all season. It was time to go ahead and get it done. My teammates have been there for me, we're having a good time down here.

We thought if we got ahead it would be good to spread the floor and take away that height advantage Gorman had. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating. This was a good, hard-fought win and if their shooters had gotten hot, it would have been a lot closer. We have a lot of respect for Gorman.

Todd Duncan (1903-)

It feeds the defense any time you get an opportunity to get a takeaway. It's obviously a good thing. You put your offense in a good field position or give them another opportunity to score. We needed that and we fed off of that.

It's a great opportunity. It's really exciting but at the same time, it's a little overwhelming. But I've coached under some good guys and played under some good coaches so hopefully this will be my opportunity to give back to the kids.
