Wow, that's harsh. Who the heck thought this was a good idea? How are we going to have time to party on Tuesday nights anymore?

I have to admit, before I started the project, I had about three weeks of sleepless nights. The idea of the Greek concept has been there forever. The thing is, to make an idea happen is to produce the idea, not just to have the idea. I kind of thought, Jesus, the world is going to think I'm totally crazy. But if they think it makes sense, this will be a good thing.

Tuesday nights is Men's League and Thursday nights is Ladies' League. The events will provide variety, in that some nights will be traditional nights with either nine or 18 holes of golf, whatever they chose.

The heck with the preliminaries, I want to win the main nights, ... We've been pretty good all the time. We keep plugging away in the top two or three in every show so that helps a lot.

You'd have thought we'd have been more rested after a nice day off [Tuesday]. You'd have thought we would have come out with a lot more energy. We just didn't. I really have no answers anymore.

It was a hell of a night. It's just one of those nights. You'll have those good nights when things will happen. We thought we had it at one time. I don't know if we just got a bad set of tires, over-adjusted or what. We were really looking good and then things just went backwards. We struggled back and forth all night.

Mel told me that he'd always be interested in staying around. I talked to the Boss about it. He thought it was a good idea. Mel thought it was a good idea. Everybody basically felt: Let's continue the relationship. Mel did a tremendous job here for a long time and provides a lot of valuable insight. So it's nice to have him as part of the support system as we move forward.

I thought, `This is a good idea. I'll get to live in the tropics and when the dust all settles, I'll have a couple million dollars.' That's not even a good month for me anymore. Bodog has killed my expectations, turning into more than I ever even contemplated.

In the past, I think sometimes not taking a break hurts you because we spend a lot of time together for three months. It worked (Tuesday night), so right now it was a good idea.

There definitely is that element of guys who like to party and have a good time and.. Every football player knows when his time is up. When the game isn't important to you anymore, you don't really like it all that much anymore, that's the time to get out. I got out when it started to be a drudge. I didn't like to practice anymore. It was a much bigger labor than it had been. The things I'd been able to do, I simply couldn't do anymore.

It was a very tough game, and I thought Stockton did a great job of moving the puck and coming after us. Jake was doing a heck of a job, and when we got the one-goal lead, I figured we might not get anymore. So I had to hold them.
