en It's a big turnaround from two weeks ago. We're still trying to get down to where we were last year in our times. But it's definitely satisfying. It's going to be hard to beat Huntington at district.

en This one in Huntington just came up because we couldn't do it here (Charleston). Marshall really didn't officially invite us like the other two universities. David Hardesty and WVU have made it clear that they want us to come there several times a year if we can. We like to travel and we like to go around West Virginia. We love to come to Huntington, and that auditorium is a great space.

en We kind of got a weak district this year, and we're going to try to be district champions. Forest Hill, they're along the line with us. We played them last year and they beat us by one. We're real young, but we've got a team full of juniors. We're going to try to play well and try to win district.

en (Brooks) beat Durbin two times during the year. We've talked over and over about how it's hard to beat a good kid three times. Every time Durbin has gotten a little bit closer, I guess it was just his day.

en I was so disappointed when we lost to them at our place. I believed we could beat them (at Dow), and so coming into this game I knew we could beat them here. ... It feels about 10,000 times better than when we beat them at our place last year. It's so hard to come here and beat them at their own place, and we did it.

en This year, we got beat by 20 a couple of times and that was hard to take. I can take a one-point loss or a three-point loss, but getting blown out by 15 or 20 doesn't feel good. Even at home we got beat by a lot at times and that's a personal pride thing. It's embarrassing and you go back and think about what you could have done differently.

en We're a better team this year we are in a new district so it is kind of hard to tell what the competition is going to be like. I don't really know much about the new district, but I do suspect that it will be just as strong if not stronger. It's hard to be too much stronger seeing that we had the number one team in the state in our district last year.

en It's hard to beat a team three times in a year. It's time to go back to it and work hard to get ready for them.

en You know they had to come in here with a chip on their shoulder. I don't think Huntington High ever expects Spring Valley to beat them. They are the no. 2 team in the state, so why would they expect us to beat them?

en We?re ecstatic. This was a satisfying district to win (because) it?s a good district. It was really survival of the fittest.

en They're the only ones that have put any kind of blemish on our district record. Last year, we had to beat them in overtime to finish 10-0 in district. They play well at our place.

en If you look at our ownership, Mr. Rooney is a football guy and he understands how hard it is to do this. Nothing would be more satisfying to me than to hand him the Vince Lombardi trophy in two weeks.

en I'm hoping we can put something together. We've got to get some course management. We've got three weeks until district. If we going to have any chance at state, we've got to beat Newport.

en We came out focused. Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy. Like they say, it's hard to beat the same team three times in a row, because Winlock played us tough the first two times (both Toledo wins). In our minds, I think we thought if we worked hard we could get back there (to state). But I don't think anybody expected us to go 22-2.

en This is absolutely satisfying. It's like vindication because we worked so hard and this organization didn't give up. We definitely have the confidence to go out there, advance again and keep going. We feel we can beat every team out there.
