It's a game where it doesn't matter who it is, the team is going to be a quality team. Maybe there's a little bit of disappointment that it's not Denison, but also maybe you get away from the head game, too - 'oh, it's Denison.' Now it's somebody different, but at the same time you can't relax. You still have to stay at a high level, go out and attack them.

He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. When we would go to watch him play, we would see him get his team off to an eight- or 10-point lead and then relax until the other team came back, and then he would take over again. The addition of Andy is big for them. They've always had a great bullpen. They have a team that knows how to play the game, they take quality at-bats and play the game the right way. It's fun competing against a team like that, knowing that they're a lot like us. They go out and do the little things to win. They're going to pitch, bunt, play defense and do everything it takes to win.

The biggest thing about the first round is everybody's anxious. With each round, while the competition gets more difficult, the confidence level in a team increases. The best thing about today is our players kept their focus and intensity and came out and gave us good, quality play.

That was a huge win for our team. You don't want to have to be in that play-in game. Even if you win, you're playing Stratford in the first round and you don't want to see them in the first round.

Anytime we play it's a good game. It doesn't matter how high either team is ranked, it's competitive. It is a great rivalry and it brings out the best in both teams.

It's a momentum changer and it helps us get out there and play our game, that high, fast-paced, high-flying type game. That's what I'm out there to do. I play for the crowd as well as my team.

He's a high-quality player and clearly has had a lot of years of high-level play. He's been an integral part of (the team) for a long time.

The quality of our game isn't anything that we have to change. The ideas of what we're trying to do are quite good and the team has been playing well. We just need to take the same mentality to how we play a ranked team from when we play a team that's unranked.

If you're going to play the top team, you might as well play them in the first round. We've got to limit their transition game ? and turn it into a half-court game ? and try not to let their defensive pressure get to us.

For us to win we have to play our 'A' game because we're an energy team, a hustle team, a high-risk, high-reward team. If we don't have our full complement, we put ourselves in a bad position.

At one point in time, I thought he'd be a first-round pick. He's not productive enough, he's up and down, he flashes. He's got that huge frame. I put him in the second round to Oakland. Somebody in the second round is rolling the dice. If you ask me where he grades out, he doesn't grade out that high. Because you want that guy inside that makes more plays, makes more of an impact and maximizes that ability on a game-to-game basis. That's not a Gabe Watson. I'd say second round and a roll of the dice pick.

To me, that makes it legitimate. Sometimes you play a team because of circumstances with injuries or they're a lower division and maybe throw a no-hitter against them and you wonder. This was a legitimate opponent that's a very high quality and well-coached. The next game they beat (Darby 3-2).
