We try to make sure the programs and people we put on the air reflect the diversity of the population we serve.

Police agencies should reflect the diversity of the communities they serve. We're going to give a better level of service with a mixture of people.

These programs together support our mission of improving the lives of the people we serve and the health of our communities. Both programs reflect our commitment to empowering families with information and resources to live healthier lives.

Being certified as a women-owned business enterprise enables Mayer to serve as a distributor to businesses that promote supplier diversity and procurement. Each year we receive numerous requests to participate in supplier diversity programs on new construction and renovation projects.

This is one of the programs that will help us serve an underserved population.

We're losing our diversity on that campus. The Hispanic population is growing. The black population is not. It's like our system is slowly becoming an all economically disadvantaged school system. We're losing our diversity, and that's not the real world.

It would make criminals of people like me who serve that kind of population as well.

Real estate prices are so high and people of the low-income pay scale desperately need those public housing units. If they're proceeding cautiously because they do want to serve the population they serve, that's a good thing.

They reflect the cultural diversity of China as a multi-ethnic country. They represent the enthusiasm and aspirations of our people.

It will most certainly impact our agency and the services we provide. Obviously, that's the target population of who we serve in many of our programs. It really is a basic math equation. We either need to raise the revenue we're able to bring in to support those services or we'll end up with an increased level of unmet need.

If I were to list the power structure of the top 25 people in San Antonio, it would certainly not reflect the proportions of the population. There would be more Anglos than there would be others.

Make diversity too small and you increase the impact of population-level events, make it too diverse and you can reduce manageability and thereby make individual-level events more likely. Heterogeneity has to be balanced with manageability for the organization's maximum benefit. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.
