We have some very serious concerns about the process. In particular, we're concerned about how comments will be treated and whether other drafts will be given due consideration.

The meeting Thursday was principally to get the board together for the first time. Citizens raised a lot of questions, comments and concerns, most of which dealt with the use permit process and CEQA, which we went through. Why didn't people come forward last year?

There are some significant concerns, ... especially in the area of whether or not our system is listening carefully to what (litigants) have to say and their ability to participate. This includes how they are treated by the first person they meet to how they perceive what's happening in the courtroom, whether the system is concerned about how people are impacted by what it does and how it does it.

It probably won't pass, but what we're most concerned with is that (Wal-Mart) shareholders hear about the cruel ways in which Wal-Mart chickens are treated and the humane alternative to that process.

We know people spent a lot of time on those comments. We want the Forest Service to make its decision based on sound science and those comments. We don't want to turn this into a big political process.

At least I quit before all the fantasy drafts. Let's face it: If I'd quit after the drafts, the fans would all hate me.

They must review the process. Because I don't think in four years time they will get anybody to go through a bidding process if they're not sure they're going to be treated fairly and honestly.

A grower and beekeeper have different concerns, but you have to have communication and consideration.

We know there's better recognition of ADHD, and we also know that when children are treated nowadays, they're more likely to be treated over a longer period of time, ... If you go back five, seven, eight years ago, it was very rare that an adolescent with ADHD was treated. And usually it'd just be a child in elementary school was treated, but nowadays prescriptions have probably risen because adolescents are getting treated, there's better recognition for girls and they tend to be treated more throughout the school year.

This is obviously very good news but this might be treated with a certain amount of caution as Fed bankers did not know that oil would go to $72 a barrel when they made these comments.
