Jag tror att det är en dålig affär eftersom den potentiellt öppnar upp Amerika för ytterligare attacker. Förenade Arabemiraten har inte alltid varit en allierad i kriget mot terrorismen. De har bara intagit den positionen nyligen. Vi har ingen riktigt bra koll på deras sympatier. Det vi vet är att Förenade Arabemiraten har varit en av de främsta knutpunkterna för terrorister i världen.

It has only come to that position lately. We don't have a really good handle on their sympathies. What we do know is the UAE has been one of the primary crossroads for terrorists in the world.

I was outraged to learn that the president wanted to outsource operations at some American ports to the United Arab Emirates.

Vi har helt enkelt inte samma relation till Förenade arabemiraten som vi har till Storbritannien. Vill vi verkligen anförtro säkerheten till en främmande regering som hade kopplingar till några av 11 september-kaparna?

We just don't have the same relationship with the United Arab Emirates that we have with Britain. Do we really want to entrust security to a foreign government that had connections to some of the 9/11 hijackers?
