en This is about life. It's about academics, it's about the things that really matter. And that's the thing I'm the most proud of.

en It's a little bit more to do with off-the-field ? academics and some things like that. (Head coach John L. Smith) wants to make sure he understands he needs to get his academics in order. So that's why he's there.

en It wasn't as though he didn't have choices. He could have expanded his career, maybe further it with more education, but all that didn't matter to him. I think 9/11 was the catalyst for the whole thing. I was scared to death of his decision to put himself in harm's way. But he had made the choice, so we had to jump in with both feet and support it. Most kids aren't that selfless. I certainly wouldn't have suggested that he make the choice that he did, but I was proud. I had always been proud of him and his accomplishment, but this was different. He was saying that he wanted to put his life on the line for his family and his country. It changes the way you look at your son.

en I think you guys care about this more than we do, ... It's just the way things go. No matter what it is in life, you make mistakes and move on. So that's the same thing with whatever goes on.

en We found some things in this team tonight that have been hiding. It was a tremendous night of finding some things inside us and we stayed in the moment no matter what happened in the game. We took great risks and I couldn't be more proud of our players. No matter who we tapped on the shoulder they were ready to do whatever we needed.

en I'm proud of the whole thing, proud of the whole thing. I think we did a lot of things people thought we couldn't do. I'm happy with it.

en He's progressing really well. He's gone through some things back home, and because he's a junior college transfer, he had to pass a bunch of classes over the summer. So he did more academics than football. But he took care of (the academics) and passed his classes.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're
gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you
did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

en You battle a lot of things - illness, boredom, keeping the guys fresh and academics are a big thing, too. We're used to this to a certain degree, but practices aren't the same. We just want to play.

en She's got the academics to go with it, so I'm proud of her, in and out of the water.

en I think the thing (about) her is discipline; to be able to combine athletics and her academics, she's very serious about everything she does but she's also able to enjoy life as well. She has good sprint speed, she's very smart and she has a lot of guts. All that adds up to a good 400 runner.

en Making it here was awesome. Coach Harper is a great coach. He teaches us life lessons every day, and everyone in this group is going to succeed in life no matter what happens on the court. I'm just proud to be a part of it.

en That song, for me, is about drugs and alcohol and loss and love. It's about being proud of who you are, being proud of your situation and just being stoked that things are always going to get better or always gonna get worse and that's such a great thing. Every day is a new surprise.

en The thing that excited me about Georgetown is that I know I'll have good kids. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. Some of the things that other coaches have to worry about -- losing your best player because of academics -- I won't have to worry about. I just have to get them to play basketball.

en That is where I have wanted to go all my life. I have been an Auburn fan all my life. The coaches are great there and the academics are strong.
