en When somebody like Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan would come to town, I would do a session. I did a few country sessions, but not a lot. I played with Marty Robbins. When Bob [Johnston] had somebody that he felt that I fit in with, he'd give me a call.

en We looked at Marty and felt Marty had the ability to be a championship goalie. He's going to have to go through all sorts.

en I started on old tires -- to learn a bit more about the circuit -- and then we had two new sets of tires for the rest of the sessions, which was fantastic. We made a slight change for the third session and again for the fourth session, even though it was damp.

en The better team won. Johnston put forth a great effort on our home floor. I was disappointed we came out in the first quarter and didn't play the defense I expected us to play, but hats off to Johnston. I thought a number of their kids really played their roles well.

en We cannot be accountable to the citizens of our country if we go into closed session or secret session and the people in country are all of a sudden cut out; that would be a terrible thing to do in a representative democracy.
