Any person, institution or organization that conveys bodies or parts of bodies into or out of the state for medical education or research purposes shall notify the Anatomical Board of such intent and receive approval from the board.

She is almost single-handedly responsible for the existence of this organization. She started it and has stayed with it longer than anyone. She was very instrumental in not only the formation but in the continuation of the organization. Though she is not officially a member of the board, she attends every board meeting and is involved in the day to day operations. She provides a lot of training and keeps us up on the trends and research related to prevention.

The two died from wounds inflicted from spears on various parts of their bodies and we have taken their bodies to the area mortuary.

Body Worlds is an exhibition of real human bodies. It allows you to see inside of bodies the way only medical students have ever been able to see.

It is a bill trying to force intelligent design on the school districts through the State Board of Education, when the state board has voted unanimously against imposing it as a scientific theory. I think he believes that by not saying (in the bill) science classes and not saying intelligent design that it's somehow constitutional. My (bottom line) is, the state board still has constitutional issues.

We strongly disagree with his proposed ruling, and through our legal counsel we will file objections to the proposed order by Wednesday. We don't feel like we have violated any state law because of the process and the information that we provided to the State Board of Education and the appearances we made before the State Board.

Hey, any time you're throwing bodies over board it is to save yourself.

While the state government had paid compensation to the relatives of the 21 victims, the bodies were not returned to them after the post mortem. The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

Nothing has been decided or taken to the board. Should the board decide to proceed with a sale it will still require shareholder approval.

There's a whole process laid out involving hearings and public input and Board (of Education) approval. It's very thorough.
