The majority of the top pitching prospects in the organization are here with us this year. People should be able to get a good look at what is coming.

I think those two are very good pitching prospects who don't get the recognition they deserve. Both have a tremendous feel for pitching.

I think our pitching is going to be pretty deep — we've got a lot of pitching. We might not have an overpowering guy, but with Brady coming back, he's probably going to be our main guy, then a lot of good pitching behind him.

People said they were small ball, but they weren't as small as a lot of people like to think. They hit a lot of home runs. But their defense was pretty good and their pitching was very good. Their pitching is what carried them last year.

Before the year started the question was with our pitching. Everybody said we had a killer lineup coming back. But our pitching has been phenomenal all year. Our hitting just isn't there yet.

The pitching prospects really look good and I am very excited about that.

I think our pitching was great. Actually things kind of flip-flopped a little bit. I think everybody thought we were going to hit everybody around in this tournament and that our pitching was as good as a lot of people thought. Our pitching did a very good job, and we just fell short. It wasn't lack of pitching at all.

We feel like if we can get a pretty good offense together, we'll win some games. Pitching's been good all year long and the bats started coming around today, which is good because we've been talking about it way too much.

We have four guys that got a quite a bit of pitching time last year and they're back to take a majority of the work this year.

Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. I think our track record speaks for itself. We do a pretty good job of identifying young arms and developing them. A lot of different pitchers come through our program and develop into pro prospects. Most recently everybody hears about (2005 Big East Pitcher of the Year) Craig Hansen (the Boston Red Sox organization's top prospect).

I was impressed with them as people, and I'm glad they're still excited about coming here. I haven't seen them play, but they're physically good-looking high school prospects for their positions.

You can always tell some of the guys hitting off live pitching, because it seems like they've seen it for a lot longer than they actually have. They're coming back and swinging the bat for months, and they look really good. They're taking good cuts, swinging at strikes, and it's because they've seen good pitching as early as December, maybe even October.

I think the year, when we looked at the planning and expectations for a lot of the prospects, it played out the way we had hoped it would. A lot of the pitching came along, especially in Double-A with Olsen and [Josh] Johnson and Vargas, when he was there.

A couple of times last year, I'd throw a good one and the majority were just not real good. I'm guiding it. I don't have any conviction to throw it yet. I've got to get that feeling back in my hand where it just feels good coming out of my fingertips.

I can't see myself pitching again this year, ... Mentally and physically, I'm just spent. I don't see many good things coming out of this doctor's appointment anyway.
