But we didn't play our best. We were not as focused, sharp as we'd been in our two previous games. We committed mental errors and didn't play with our usual fire and energy.

Yesterday, we didn't show up, we didn't play the way we wanted to, so we re-focused and re-prepared for the game tonight. It's a playoff atmosphere when you get to play the same team the following day with it fresh in your mind what happened the previous day.

We just didn't play very well. We just made too many mental mistakes and too many errors, St. Francis was pretty hot too and they had a lot of hits. Those things combined, you don't win a lot of games.

It's one of those games where you look at the box and see we had 12 hits and they had five. Carly (Hunt) struck out five to their two, and we didn't have a terrible amount of errors. But it was one of those days your errors just didn't show up in the box. We made) a lot of mental mistakes.

We hit the ball well, but defensively we had six errors. And you can throw six or seven mental errors on top of that. We were not very sharp and not prepared to play.

The kids had a meeting and decided they were gonna come out and play hard and be determined and they did that. We didn't have any errors or any mental mistakes and that's how you have to play to win at this level.

I didn't expect him to be ready to play in any games. From a mental standpoint, for him, it's important if he's ready to play. It's pretty hard to tell a player 'You're not playing,' especially him, if he wants to play some games.

I don't think we played very well. We didn't look quick, we didn't look fast and we didn't play with the same energy level that I've seen us play with throughout the year so far. I'm not blaming it on anything because that's not my nature, but we certainly didn't have the energy and the enthusiasm that we've played with to this point.

This is going to be a tough spring. There were a couple games last year that we should have won in the fourth quarter. We didn't. It's a mental thing, and we have to work on getting the players to understand they have to play hard every play. They can't take a play off.

Their approach all week was a real professional one. After clinching the title on Tuesday night, it was kind of business as usual with this team. There wasn't too much of a celebration. Last Friday was a situation where it was pretty much a victory alone just coming to the game because of the situation and the tragedy that happened. We were flat and made a lot of mental errors, and we didn't play how we play West Brook baseball.

No matter what happens in these games, power plays play a big part and we haven't been sharp at it. We worked really hard tonight. There was no one that didn't try. It's just that they scored on their chances and we didn't.

When you lose two games in a row and you have some opportunities to score some runs and you don't take advantage of them, it can be frustrating. But we have two more games against these guys. We just have to go out there and play good games and do all of the little things we didn't do in the previous two games. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

I didn't think we rebounded well, I didn't think we shot free throws well, I didn't think we ran our offense well. We just weren't focused and ready to play tonight. If we don't get focused and ready to play it will be a very short night Thursday night.
