Even if it's not NBA players, the United States still has great players.

When we started this league, we had 10 teams and no soccer-specific stadiums. Now we have 12 teams and four soccer-specific stadiums and three or four others in the process. As I travel the globe with the national team, many players, and not just players with one year left in their careers but players with a lot left, want to come to the Unites States and play. Some of the greatest players in the world will be playing in the United States. I really believe that.

Right now in the Major Leagues, it is 37 percent Latino. And even in Japan, they are taking a lot more Latino players, so this gives us all a chance to see the players. This is a great event, not just for the fans, but for us in baseball in the United States. It's a tremendous tool to see international play.

For the kids it's a great opportunity. Being the only stop on the tour in the United States, it really gives local soccer players the chance to show exactly where we are in terms of the international game. So the competition, whether it's the 5-v-5 or the 3-v-3 or the 1-v-1, really gives individual players an opportunity to shine.

What a wonderful opportunity for our supporters to observe soccer at the highest level and for our players to compete against some of the best players in the United States and England. This is great news for the city and for the Portland Timbers. The Galaxy is one of the most successful teams in MLS and Sunderland is well placed to clinch promotion to the English Premiership.

People want to see all of the Dominican players together on one team, and the same with Venezuela and the United States. I think it's going to be a great [event]. Great soccer is inspiring, on the street and in the stadium, and Nike today celebrates brilliant soccer with the announcement of the perhaps the strongest side ever to represent the United States on the global football stage. Nike soccer is about the joy of playing, whether it be worldwide or here in the United States. Our products, our players and our global brand leadership reflect that.

It's hard when you're going to take the best 30 players out of the United States. It's a tough task. It doesn't motivate us. We have good players. We have confidence in what we're trying to do. We don't need that to motivate us.

Everybody knows that if the United States were ever to have its best players playing in the Olympics, then it would not be close. You can talk all you want about the rest of the world closing the gap, and that's true. But when the best players in the world are on one team, you're not going to beat them.

There's everything here for players and families to both experience the culture of Germany as well feel comfortable that this is a city that is similar to cities in the United States. And it's a perfect match: great restaurants, lots of entertainment, lot of things to do, a great hotel, great training facilities. Everything we want is here.

I think they've been going after the same players [in Georgia]. What I see is that they're going after the same level of players in other states now.... They've gotten players from Texas. They've gotten players from Florida.

The young players coming up in our team are really remarkable.
