I feel like we ordsprog

en I feel like we really needed a game like this. Maybe we don't dominate the stat sheet, but we play great defense and find a way to win.

en He's been great on defense this year. He's been a great example for our young big guys. He's a great off-the-ball defender, and some of the little things he does don't always show up on the stat sheet. We're going to miss him a lot. Other guys have to step up and do a great job.

en It's a quality win for us on the road. We moved the ball great and got a lot of open shots because we gave the ball up. Controlling the tempo on the road is the way we've got to play ... You look at the stat sheet, and the nicest thing for me is I feel like a lot of people are playing together and trying to make everybody better.

en It was great playing with Steve because he complements your game. He's out there getting rebounds, assists and steals. He fills up the stat sheet.

en We got the big lead and we had a chance, when pressure came, to really make some plays to extend it. But we let one play lead to another to another to another. It just got completely away from us. I guess credit their defense, but I was just looking at the stat sheet.

en She played excellently on that end, ... It never shows up on the stat sheet but defense wins games.

en She played excellently on that end. It never shows up on the stat sheet but defense wins games.

en Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

en There are things that you don't see on the stat sheet. Christina did a good job on defense. She's long and got long arms. She does a good job of stopping that entry pass. She needs to be a force for us to be successful on defense.

en I thought coach was going to put me back in but he just didn't. Once I looked at the stat sheet in the fourth quarter, but we were up 25. Maybe if it was a close game and we were fighting for the game. But when you're up 25, he's not going to jeopardize a player.

en This guy to me looks like the next great player [at VMI]. He does a lot of stuff. He'll hit a 3. He'll drive it on you. He'll get a rebound. He'll make a steal. All of a sudden, he's got the stat sheet filled up.

en It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

en We tried to play the best we could considering the surface. We were able to dominate the whole game. If was difficult for us to put things. But we did what we needed to do.

He followed every stat probably the last two years and was on the computer every night bringing up this stat or that stat. I'm surprised he didn't tell me how many times they ate during the day.
