Beating Lake Braddock has ordsprog

en Beating Lake Braddock has been one of our goals since we started the program. We needed to play well on both sides of the ball to win and we did.

en Not being in conference hurt our program. When we started beating people we have gotten more respect, there's not too many big boys in the state that want to play us anymore.

en We turned the ball over and we started shooting 3-pointers. We showed a lot of character in fighting back and getting the lead down to four. Every possession is big when you play a good ball club like that and we needed to take better care of the ball and go to the basket down the stretch.

en Usually we play better in the second half, so I figured we could pick it up and score a couple goals. We got the ball down the sides a lot better and put it in the box because their team crowded the middle. We got it wide and kept possession.

en (Moore) has an unbelievably tough job because he's an inside linebacker, so he's in on almost every play, and he's played a lot at fullback so he's taken a beating there. He's been quietly plugging away, but he's also a difference-maker. He's made big plays every game on both sides of the ball. He's extremely fast, and just a great football player.

en I think I would have to go so far as to say Russell is Jim Braddock. I'm amazed the way Russell picked up his mannerisms, his smoothness, the legs, the way he slides, that slip, slide, block, slide, jab - boom! Like Jim, he has just about the greatest left hook I've ever seen. He's got the speed, the rhythm, the determination and especially the will. Best of all, he has learned to think like a fighter. One thing about Braddock is that he was a smart fighter, and Russell uses his noodle just like Braddock did. I do think if he wasn't an actor, Russell could have been a great fighter.

en Lazio started very strong, but we tried to play our game, pass the ball and score goals,

en They were beating us to balls early, but we started to pick it up. Our forwards started running through the ball and being very aggressive. That allowed us to take advantage of their mistakes in the back.

en Schools were looking at me on both sides of the ball, but it depended on where they needed me, and [Florida] needed me on defense because they have a lot of defensive players that are going to be graduating. en The kids came out to play today. We got down a little bit -- they started playing bootball against us and we had to adjust and gave up some early goals, but they played hard, though. They started working the ball around and played as a team, they hustled and kept working at it. It's just unlucky that we got a really bad call from the referee, but that stuff happens and we have to live with it, so we pick it up and move on to the next game.

en We needed to take advantage of the fact that the wind was at our back (in the second half), and we started to push the ball. That is how we like to play.
