The system was very important to play against them. The way we competed on the sides and in the midfield was the key to beating them.

Watson worked out with us this summer and I have scouted him at New Mexico. I think he is an extremely versatile guy who can play in the midfield on both sides and even defensively in the midfield. The impression we got from him last summer was important because he played with and competed with our guys.

England have a lot of quality in a lot of areas, particularly midfield. But they have still got to prove that they can be one of the top six. Against 60 per cent of sides, some of the things they did against us they'll be OK with. But against the top four or five sides they may just have to have a re-think.

Beating Lake Braddock has been one of our goals since we started the program. We needed to play well on both sides of the ball to win and we did.

I don't think it is a really big change for me. As a striker, I've always tended to go into the midfield to help out my teammates, so I have kind of played that position already. Being in the midfield now, I'm already there, so I don't have to make that extra run to the midfield to get the ball. I always have loved the ball, and in midfield I get the ball a lot.

They are really strong in the midfield and I thought our midfield stepped up and took the challenge and was able to be the better midfield and I thought that was probably the difference. We had a strong midfield and they dominated the game, really.

We start a lot form Tom's feet at center back. Stefan takes over at the midfield and controls things from that point on. He's more or less the distribution source for everything. And Jon and Steve are just really solid workhorses in the midfield. They could play in every minute of every game and through overtime. They're just real fit specimens.

More important than playing him one-on-one, the key is group coverage. If we play as a team, don't leave any gaps, play tightly together, and fall back well, I'm positive they'll have lots of trouble beating us.

Their strongest point is their midfield. They're real strong, and they're pretty deep. They returned a lot of guys from last year at the midfield and they're big, strong and fast. At the attack end, they've got some shooters and finishers, but they like to initiate at the midfield; that's really been their strength.

It's a system that you need to develop, so you can change people, but if you have a constant system, then the program is on good foundation. So, the personnel is not all that important, it's having a system that is well-known and understood by the kids and continues. That's what's important.

it went right, but it ain't right. I tell the boys, 'You live in a white man's world, but you can play the game and win. You just can't give up.' You've got to have love and a sense of humor in beating the system.
