This state started hemorrhaging jobs under (previous Republican governor) John Engler, and the governor has been able to slow the hemorrhaging of jobs.

As the disgraceful Taft administration finally comes to a close, it is time for the governor to be honest about the true state of the state here in Ohio ... That's not correct at all. His position all along has been economic development, job creation, keeping people within the state where money can be used for state and local education. From his perspective, having three casinos creates more jobs and more economic development than having one.

The state only recognizes the state lottery, horse racing and its authorized off-track betting sites, the casinos and any charitable gambling event that is authorized by the state Office of Consumer Affairs or controlled by the Legislature.

This is the most stupid ... most asinine thing I've ever heard of doing. If this was just some dirt field, that would be different. But this is one of the few facilities in the state that can handle big baseball games. Why tear it down? If you want to tear down something, tear down the Coliseum and build an arena there.

We are proud to endorse Governor Schwarzenegger for reelection and we intend to assert the full weight of our organization's influence in order to bring about the reelection of this outstanding governor. Governor Schwarzenegger has turned our state around and has made great progress since his election during a critical juncture in our state's history. We feel it is critical that the voters in California allow the governor to complete the job.

The overall benefit to the state in keeping manufacturing companies and jobs in Connecticut can not be overstated. Although we have lost manufacturing jobs over time, manufacturing still makes up nearly 20 percent of our gross state product, and each manufacturing job supports many more jobs in support and related industries.

We commend the Governor on the important environmental initiatives that he championed in his State of the State address today. We're pleased that the Governor is taking these important steps to protect our health and our environment.
