We couldn't get anything going. We couldn't get in a rhythm. We couldn't convert any third downs. We couldn't take advantage of any opportunities. We'd make mental mistakes, either by me or someone else. You can't beat a good team like that.

We couldn't throw it in the ocean. The first half we got good looks, but we couldn't convert. With their size our guards weren't able to finish at the rim, plus three-pointers on his way to we couldn't shoot it from the a team-high 22 points. outside, either.

They are a good team, but we couldn't make the big plays. We lost focus and we couldn't produce.

I'm hoping the third game was more indicative of our team than the first two. We started so slow. They obviously are a great team, but we couldn't do anything right. We couldn't pass, couldn't defend it, couldn't block it. We were just half a step slow the first and second game. It was disappointing we weren't ready to play.

Wilson Hall is as good of a team that I have seen in a long time. They have height, they're quick and they are good inside and out. We couldn't do a whole lot tonight. We just ran into a better team.

Old Mill is a very good team. We just went on these stretches where we couldn't score. It's tough to keep coming back from 10 down against a good team like that.

That was a good effort. It was one of the best we've had against a quality team after the first quarter-and-a-half. In the first quarter we were a little anemic. But they (Forsyth Country Day) couldn't handle our pressure, and it was good for our kids to be able to play like that against a good team and have some success with it.

You can't say the effort wasn't there from our guys. When you hold a team to 64 points and out-rebound them (38-33), it is obvious that we were focused. We just couldn't make any shots. We had good looks but just couldn't get anything to go in.

They are a very good team. I thought we were playing them alright. We would get on a little run and they responded like any good team would. We just couldn't get over that hump.

It was just a momentum shift that we really couldn't recover from. We needed to step up at the beginning of the second half and we just couldn't. I think their pressure kind of got to us a little bit and they are just such a good team that we made too many mistakes against them to win.

I just feel so bad for this team; they just couldn't get a break. It's a young team, so it's going to be a good team in the future.

I think that might have been overdoing it. I think that was just kind of rubbing it the wrong way. It's different when you do it playing as a team that doesn't have players who are very good. One-hundred thirteen comes across as a team that couldn't put the ball in, and (the other team) putting it on them. We played excellent defense the first half. The problem was that we couldn't put the ball in the bucket. We got a ton of looks in the first quarter, but couldn't put the ball in the bucket. We got looks again in the second quarter. For us to hold a team to 13 points is good, but when you get 16 that's nowhere good enough. We just couldn't put the ball in the bucket.

That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

Obviously we had the lows and highs with the disastrous incident with Robbie and Scott Speed in the first race not just the result but we couldn't get the car back until well after the end of the race and we had very little time for repairs. Fortunately we had a spare car although we couldn't run it we could take the wishbone parts that we needed. But then in the Feature race Robbie avoided trouble in those first laps. Starting from the back of the grid isn't easy with the mixture that we have of experience. He found his way through and the strategy worked. The team did another superb pit stop and it was as good as we could hope. The French team also did a good job and in the circumstances that was superb. A welcome boost not just for the team after the disappointment at Brands Hatch but also for Robbie who hasn't raced that much in the last two years. This is all bringing him back to where he'll be fully on song.
