It looked pretty scary from where I was standing. I'm all right. I feel good. It could have been a lot worse.

Nasty. It looks just like a fastball, then it's in on you. He looked outstanding. He looked scary, even after surgery. You can see how he feels by the way he acts. When you feel bad, you don't even feel like talking to anybody. He acts like he's good now.

He took a pretty good ride. I was relieved to see both of them were in good shape. It looked like it could have been worse than what it was.

Watching this team on film (Yorktown) was a lot different than how they played tonight. They looked pretty good, but not this good. They could have easily beaten us much worse.

But it wasn't as good as it looked. They hit some balls pretty hard right at people. For the most part, I feel pretty good. I'm not complaining.

I expected to feel worse, actually. But I feel pretty good.

I think this was a good step for him. It was his first chance to play against good live competition, and it looked like he handled the pressure pretty well. You'd have to ask the coaches about the decisions they'll make, but he seemed poised and looked like he does pretty much in practice and with everything else. You're happy to see you got a guy who is pretty much what you expected. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness.

It was almost a standing ovation. It made me feel pretty good.

I think he's one of those guys that Earl Weaver talked about, when you get into the car, you come to the park and know that he's pitching for you, you feel pretty good. I certainly feel pretty good. I feel pretty good with all of them right now. They're all doing a good job. Hopefully, it's contagious and we can keep it up.

We wanted to see how Charlie would handle the surprise start, and it looked like he handled it pretty good. I think his numbers looked pretty good in the first half. He did a nice job.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

I think Frank has looked as good as any of our kids have ever looked. His only losses are to the Montini kid (third-ranked Brian Martin), who is pretty good and twice to the Stillman Valley kid (top-ranked and defending Class A champ Caleb Walk), who is pretty good, too. It's taken some good kids to beat him.

Well, I don't know, but I've been told the streets in heaven are lined with gold. I ask you how things could get much worse if the Russians happen to get up there first; Wowee! pretty scary!
