I don't know if I've ever seen a goaltending performance like we saw in the third period, overtime and the shootout from Ian Wilson tonight.

The goaltending was fantastic. Both goalies were fabulous. The shootout went eight deep -- that will show you how good the goaltending was.

We got a little excited in the overtime period and lost our composure. Fortunately, we were able to regain our composure and pull this one out. I think the key tonight was how we got a good performance from five guys playing together as a team.

I thought we played a great game tonight. I thought we outplayed them. Trumbull has a good team. We jumped up on them, they broke back with four straight goals, we outplayed them in the third period and overtime, but they got a lucky bounce. That's what can happen in overtime.

Toronto played very well, but we definitely wanted to outwork them and I think we did. I think from the first minute to the last, our tempo went up a little bit and the third period was a good period for us and we capitalized, tied it up and won in shootout, so we're all pretty happy about it.

We know we have great goaltending and great defense, so when we get in a shootout like that and we can win a game like that it's huge for our team.

A shootout's a shootout. We're going from a terrific team game into an individual thing. I guess that's what the fans want. But it's a little disheartening. The guys played hard for 65 minutes and then you lose in a shootout.

The difference tonight, in my opinion, is that we played with a lot more aggression in the last three minutes of overtime. We played with a lot more spirit during that period. That, as much as anything, is what our guys have to learn.

There was definitely a sense of urgency in overtime. We went into the overtime period knowing we hadn't played our best game totally. The way (Florida coach) Gerry (Fleming) put it was we had opportunity to right our wrongs. So I think all of us turned it up a notch.

We want to feel that the goaltending is the kind of goaltending that a team like ours needs to be successful. I think that's the goal: to make the goaltending never be an issue. The only way to do that is for both of us to be consistent and to provide the team with the type of play that gives us a chance to win every night.

I don't know if it was bus legs or whatever, but we didn't move our feet in the first period. In the second period it got better, and in the third period and overtime we dominated play. We just didn't put the puck in the net.

They got good goaltending tonight. He made the saves, and everyone knows they can score. We talked about it at the beginning of the year that they are one player away and they got it tonight.

It was a gutsy performance by my guys tonight. San Jose State played extremely well in the first half. They dominated us on the boards. We've been close so many times, and we've been growing every week, with much of the growth in the effort department. In overtime games, we've had three, and this was our first win.
