He seems really tough. A couple of times, I teed off on him, but he got right back up and made a big play.

Our kids battled back a couple times. They kept plugging away and we had some chances. I thought we executed well, Brookings just made one more play than we did.

I thought we let them get to the basket too easy at times. Becker is a strong player and we knew he was going to be a problem. He got away from us a couple of times and made it tough.

He's (Kenny Rogers) tough. He gives you a lot of looks. I just had one of those nights. He made a couple of mistakes. The home run was a change of speed pitch, it wasn't his fastball. I guessed right a couple of times.

He doesn't get rattled or caught up in the game itself. He just kind of goes with the flow, and patience is one of his strong points. He'll get teed off when he knows he had a pitch he should have hit, or not made a play he should have made, but his focus is very good.

After the first half, it's pretty tough to come back in it. It was the fast break that killed us. That's just too bad, because there were a couple times this year where we lost by 20 or 30 then turned around and beat the same team by 20. I know we can play with that team.

I was just glad to be back out there. We figured they would play us tough and we would have to play tough. It is always hard to beat a team three times in one season.

He told me to take some time off and think about it. Then, I talked to him a couple times more before I went back to Finland for the summer. We talked a few times that summer. You look back at one play here and one play there and all that kind of stuff but they made the plays when they had to. If we could've gotten a couple of offensive rebounds or a couple of stops but we didn't. But I think Craig Smith was sensational.

We've had the ability to go through some tough times. Through those tough times we've learned. You look at the North Dakota State game and those are tough times. ... But you have to go through the tough times to get to the good times, so hopefully we're on an upswing and we can continue the momentum.
