We knew we had to get him involved. They had him locked down pretty good in the first half, and they had to be thrilled that he only had four points. But once he hits one of those (3-pointers), he can get going and knock down a lot more.

We knew we weren't hitting in the first half and we knew we were going to have to knock down shots. Except for their last two 3-pointers [in the final 22 seconds, when the game was decided], they only had 10 points in the second half. Some times we can be pretty bad ourselves offensively, but I'd like to think we can score 11.

I was seven for eight on three pointers in the first half. I ended up sitting most of the second half, because we were up so many points. But I finished with a career high 39 points.

After I hit the first couple of 3-pointers (in the first half), I knew I was going to have a good night.

He's a great player. We've had some really good matches. He hits the ball so clean, we're going to have a lot of points. There's some good shot-making and we both have pretty big serves to get free points.

The big key in the first half was their 3-pointers. They were getting three points each time down and we were getting two.

It was a good thing we were able to keep them from scoring points in the first half because our shooting was terrible. We were getting every possible look we wanted but just couldn't knock them down.

I think this was our best defensive half of the season. We let them score handily in the first half. But we held them to 18 points in the second half. That's pretty good.

We knew Chase County has some good athletes and we knew they were going to come after us. They started in a man-to-man and we were able to execute some pretty good offense. We did a lot of good things on defense. It's a pretty good win. In the second half, we got tentative and Chase County turned up the heat a little and made it a little more difficult for us to flow.

We thought our schedule might have been tougher than theirs. They came out and hit three 3-pointers to start the second half and they had three girls just kill us. They were a pretty good team and they executed better than we did. We went 9-11 this year, and I would consider 9-11 a successful season for us.

Neither team was stopping each other and then Chris Hernandez had a stretch there that changed everything. The big shot he hits, the 3-pointers, and then he gets bumped and the parade continues. Having that happen where they get a lot of points at the line was one of my biggest fears.
