en It was a good thing we were able to keep them from scoring points in the first half because our shooting was terrible. We were getting every possible look we wanted but just couldn't knock them down.

en North Texas did a nice job of getting into our shooters tonight. When we were able to have good looks, we just couldn't knock them down. When you're a shorter team, you need to make shots from the perimeter. We just didn't bring enough juice in the second half. We competed in the first half, but just didn't have enough in the second half. When we stopped scoring, it was a snowball effect. It affected our defense and we got into a rut.

en She dominated. She killed us from inside and from the free throw line. We couldn't drive the ball, and the one thing that kills us is when get unbalanced in our scoring. Amanda was proving us with a lot of points in the first half, but when they shut her down in the second, we didn't have anyone there to pick up the slack.

en We let them get back in that first game and you can't do that against a team like Norwalk. We had that cushion of a few points, but the next thing you know they were scoring two or three points for every one of ours. We couldn't close them out, but give them credit there. In the second game our serve receive struggled. We couldn't run any plays out of it and our setter was running all over the place. It's hard to get any quality attacks when that happens.

en Offensively, we couldn't get going. We took two more 3-pointers than 2-pointers in the first half. They did a good job of plugging up the middle. But when you hold a team to 19 points, you can afford a poor shooting night.

en We were kind of cold in the first half, couldn't get our rhythm. We had a lot of good looks at the basket, we just couldn't knock them down.

en We were missing shots in the first half. They threw a 3-2 zone at us and we had some good look early, but we couldn't knock them down. In the second half, we got hot and that was the difference.

en We held a pretty good Geneva team to 25 (first-half) points. That's not terrible. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. The problem is we only scored nine (points). We weren't doing what we needed to against the press.

en We had to make up 18 points (from graduation of Mariah Bolin and Chelsea Carlen) and Amanda not only did that she added 24 to that. In the first three games of the season we didn't know what we had. All of a sudden she was scoring all those points. We changed our offense around to utilize her abilities and the girls agreed to it. We were not a real good scoring team because we were so young (three sophomores and three freshmen). We set screens for her and excelled at it. Amanda realizes she couldn't do what she did without her teammates.

en We couldn't throw it in the ocean. The first half we got good looks, but we couldn't convert. With their size our guards weren't able to finish at the rim, plus three-pointers on his way to we couldn't shoot it from the a team-high 22 points. outside, either.

en We played a pretty good first half, but struggled in the second. Their guards picked up their scoring in the second half and couldn't keep pace.

en (St. Edward) beat us off the ball on the dives, we couldn't defend the perimeter, we couldn't knock down a pass, but other than that it was a pretty satisfactory day. I'm not mincing words. That's what I saw and that's what I was watching for two and a half hours out here. We've got to get better on defense. We're not very good at it.

en I don't think we're going to see another man-to-man (defense) until we learn to knock down some 3s. That's all we've seen the last four, five ball games. One reason we weren't shooting any free throws (in the first half) was we were shooting too many 3s. We told them to go to the hole.

en We gave a good account of ourselves. We played well defensively, but just like we have all season, we struggled to score. We got some good looks, but couldn't knock them down. They have a veteran team and whenever we got to within 7-8 points, they had an answer.

en The first half we were sluggish, and they were killing us on the boards. We couldn't play any worse, but we did play better... 14 points at halftime, that's terrible.
