I thought we did a much better job on him second half. He's definitely a good player and he's only a sophomore. He's going to be really good if he keeps on working with his game. I just thought we did a lot better job defensively that second half.

I thought we did a good job defensively in the first half of taking them out of their offense and that really set the tone for the game. We kept our intensity in the second half and did a good job of putting them away.

I thought we, for the most part, did as well as you can defensively against these guys. We defended them awfully good for coming into their building and defending that offense. Unfortunately, I thought our guard play was bad in the second half. (We) forgot about the best player in the league right now.

Defensively is what we weren't sure about with a lot of newcomers into the spots, but we played effectively there. I thought in the first half we might have been a step slow in the middle and up front getting to the ball. We couldn't put them away. Wayne Franklin had a great second half. I thought we did a real good job defensively in the first half on him, but their scheme in the second half did a great job of getting him more touches.

The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. The boards in the second half were the difference. They are stronger inside than we are. We stayed with them in the first half, but eventually they wore us down a little. I thought it was a good game, I'm very pleased with our players. I thought they stepped up to the challenge against the No. 1 team.

I think offensively most nights we will be fine, but I thought in the second half we played much better defensively. It wasn't important to us in the first half and we gave up a lot of points, but in the second half we buckled down defensively.

Tonight I thought our second half was especially good. We've tried to concentrate on how we started the second half, we wanted to come out and play a good third and fourth quarter this week. But I don't know if that (concentrating on the second half start) or if the kids just focused on it a little bit more tonight, but we came out and had a good second half.

We got ourselves into a little bit of foul trouble early, but I thought we did a good job defensively and that allowed us to get things going on offense. I was really pleased with our play in the first half, but for about six or seven minutes in the second half, we just didn't do the job. I thought we played very well defensively in the first half. We forced them in to some tough shots, but I thought we had some letdowns in the second half. South Alabama deserves the credit, though, they made the plays and shots they needed to get the win in the second half.
