en One of the reasons we're building the new facility it because it gives us the opportunity to offer amenities that are not currently offered in our older buildings - amenities that students look for when deciding on which university to enroll in. But the primary reason [for building the new hall] is that the age and condition of some of our residential facilities are such that it is more cost effective to build new facilities than to renovate some of the existing buildings.

en Three hundred million is a tiny drop in the bucket. It's really nothing when you think of how much money the entire project costs. That's what makes us nervous. These projects are so expensive. Are they ever really going to get funded? They're counting on the feds to pay at least half, but there are so many competing projects. We're very worried about whether these projects will really be built.

en From my standpoint this was a great project, one I think the community can really be proud of. This is the first of several construction projects for Galesburg Cottage Hospital and we plan several new services for Galesburg and the surrounding communities.

en Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. en For maintenance, we have a lot of large projects. Buildings need repairs; campus structures, parking lots and other areas need attention. There is generally an assigned sum. It's based on the number of students and some other factors for who gets the money.

en For example, our district electricity budget will be approximately $40 million next year whether we have 173,000 students or 176,000 students. However, 3,000 less students could reduce annual operating revenues by $18 million.

en Half a million didn't get us anywhere near the level of improvements that we'll need, but it's allowing us to do these three projects,
