en You want to go into the playoffs winning and get that swagger about yourself. If you go into the playoffs losing, you don't feel that great about yourself and teams look at the things you didn't do well and try to key on those things and make you look bad. You want to build up as the season progresses along.

en Since I've been in the NFL, I've never seen a team go 10-6 and not make the playoffs. I've seen teams that were 9-7 and 8-8 make the playoffs. It would be mind-boggling to be 10-6 and not make the playoffs.

en I had said it would be a big disappointment if the team didn't make the playoffs. I'm not sure that we have enough guys that are hungry enough to want to be in the playoffs. The toughness to be able to get there sometimes doesn't show up. I take responsibility for that. That's my job to make them tougher or whatever it takes for them to be able to play.

en We definitely want to make the playoffs -- that's a goal for us. We won't know how far we can go in the playoffs for a long time. To make the playoffs is a goal we think we can accomplish. This is going to be a process. You're not going to see a finished product for a while.

en One of the most pleasant things that came out of Saturday's game was that the younger players really handled themselves with a lot of poise, didn't make a lot of mistakes, and when they had the opportunity to do some things did it, ... en Everyone is not jumping for joy with finally making the playoffs but it is a big accomplishment for us being that we didn't make it last year and nobody expected us to make it this year and here we are.

en It's a matter of confidence. It's definitely a huge step forward in that direction. It's nice to go out with a win. Guys are disappointed we didn't make it to playoffs. But all in all the guys should be satisfied with the way we played in the second half, and we just have to carry it over to next year.

en I don't think we can look at it that way. I don't think we should put pressure on us like that. I think our realistic goal is getting to the Super Bowl. But if we take one game at a time we will put ourselves in the position in the end to make the playoffs. Once you make the playoffs anything can happen.
