We're placing in 10th in a very major tournament. To be in the top 10 is a great place for us to be.

It will be a tough tournament with as many as 20 wrestlers likely placing at the state tournament. We have a tough tournament team but have battled injuries. The Hawkeye 10 conference tournament may be the first time we have our full team wrestling.

We came here to win it and we didn't. But we still had a great meet and earned some strong seeds for next week's state tournament. We have five or six quality wrestlers that should have a good chance of placing.

We actually didn't get the place we thought we were going to get, but we have very high expectations each year in this event. Taking second, fourth and 10th place is very good, but our coaches are still not necessarily satisfied. But this was a great start for us and hopefully we'll have some more good things happen (Saturday).

He's probably the most dangerous person to bowl in match play because he makes you show up in the 10th frame. If he's behind in a game, he'll strike out in the 10th to make you show up. I've never seen another player over the course of his career that can do that. And he's never out of a match because he's a great spare shooter, a great shot maker.

It is really a thin line, and it's that way every tournament, the difference between finishing third place and sometimes even ninth or 10th. Ten shots, which sounds like a lot, but when you are talking about five guys over three days, you're talking about less than a shot a round. It is razor thin.

If we are chasing somebody around the track and it leads us to better times then that's great. I really try to get us not to be that concerned about placing because if all you want to do is place high well that's easy. All you have to do is run against lousy teams.

We've got a major tournament in India, a major tournament in the West Indies, and the VB Series in Australia so we have to evolve a bowling attack that can win in three different continents.

It's great to win the regional tournament in our own house. We talked about this when we knew we were hosting. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. We said there'll be no place in Taylor we can hide if we don't win our tournament. Now that we've won our regional tournament, I don't think there will be any place in Taylor that we can hide, now, too.

If you have to sell it as a major, then it's not a major. It's still a great, great tournament.

There are some high-caliber teams here and placing anywhere in the top six is a great accomplishment. Matt Stephenson wrestled really well and was in every match. It's a good point in the season for Matt to realize that he can wrestle well at a tournament like this.

There are zillions of conversations during work time that take place during these three weeks, ... The length of time of the tournament is one of the things that makes this unique among major American sporting events. But the tournament has become like the Super Bowl, something that everyone watches or talks about, even the non-sports fans. The $1.4 billion estimate may be conservative.

I think our car was better than a 20th-place car, but that's where we ended up. We managed to hang on to 10th place, but we've got to get things turned around if we're planning to stay there.

You play great in a tournament and all of a sudden, you're out of the tournament and in last place. It's a shame to play that well for that long and then have that happen.

It's his first state tournament and placing is a big accomplishment. I know Anthony's getting fired up for his next match and for next year too.
