We've got a major tournament in India, a major tournament in the West Indies, and the VB Series in Australia so we have to evolve a bowling attack that can win in three different continents.

They had a sustained fast-bowling attack that I haven't experienced since probably 1993 against the West Indies,

Australia, West Indies and England are the other countries that have agreed to play India.

If Australia had to go into the (West Indies) series without anything in the interim they would have still had the doubts raised by their loss to England hanging over them.

Our basic complaint is if England and Australia can plan regular home series every year, why should we not plan. India is a major force.

I have evolved a lot since I made my debut, bowling on flat batting tracks of Sri Lanka and West Indies on the 'A' tours have taught me a lot. I have learned to concentrate on bowling line and length instead of using just sheer pace.

It might have been the way we finished up the regular season. We made a major run in the tournament. I don't think it had anything to do with the Big East tournament.

Our two major worries coming here so late in the summer were firstly, would the team be in one piece, and secondly how tired we would be. But after the West Indies series we're actually feeling very fresh, we feel pretty good. We've played probably half as much test cricket as South Africa, with breaks in between, and we're here with our full team. A lot has been said about how tired South Africa are and how they need time off.

I can remember the last two series vividly - South Africa's home series here and the one in the West Indies, He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy.

We are probably a mid-major conference in most of our other sports, but in men's basketball we are obviously a high-major conference. It's the sixth best conference in the country, and there should be talk of five teams going into the NCAA Tournament. Whether we get that or not, we deserve the attention.

These moves are instrumental to the growth of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am as the premier non-major tournament on the Champions Tour. Our format is custom-made for drawing strong network TV ratings, and the scheduling change and extension of OutbackÂ¹s involvement in the tournament were critical to finalizing the TV contract.

Obviously I've seen a lot of good players but I've never seen someone at 16 go into a four-round professional tournament, the biggest tournament in Australia, and play that well.

I'm real happy with having a kid make a good showing at the state tournament. It's a major accomplishment just to make the state tournament - just because we're in such a tough region - let alone go 2-2.

I think what George Mason has done this NCAA tournament has been a milestone and a breakthrough in college basketball. There's been so many programs that have been close. ... I just think in my opinion right now, when you talk about the word 'mid-major' or you talk about the word 'major,' there's no more of that to me. I think those days are over with.
