You've got to get the calls (from the officials) and we didn't get them. That gets old at home, getting bad calls or no calls. Nine of our 12 losses have been by two or three points. We've only been blown out by 15 or so three times. The rest of the games have gone down to the wire.

Guys disagreed with some of the calls. Guys felt that the play they could have made they didn't get a chance to make because of the defense that was against them, ... and (they) reacted in what I would consider a negative fashion because it takes you out of your ball game. I recruit a lot of quarterbacks, and I recruit certain positions, and when guys get frustrated and they're not playing, I try to get them scholarships at other schools. I've called other coaches around the country. Like Michael Bass is at Montana (State). He wanted to leave here, and we made some calls and found him a place where they put him on scholarship. That's happened a bunch of times. Now those things are going to come back to haunt you. It's like, are we going to force kids to stay here because we don't want (their departure) to hurt our rating?

We wanted to challenge every shot and be aggressive. That was our game plan. Be aggressive and don't be afraid to go out and make a play.

He was able to make his foul shots and that hurt us down the line. I thought the foul calls were lopsided. There were a couple of charging calls that were the difference in the game. Our guys who guarded Herb got into foul trouble. They got him the ball and it was mission accomplished.
