When you have two like that, sometimes teams have one good defensive player that they can put on one of them, but it's hard to stop them both. Ashley Williams has been tremendous.

Jill is a tremendous player who works hard and is never off the floor. Teams try and stop her, yet she still gets her points.

Missouri Southern is a good fit for Ashley. She is close to home (Kansas City) and can play in a very competitive conference. Ashley has grown tremendously this year as a player and also as a person. Ashley expressed to me how appreciative she has been of Iowa Western and the people here who allowed her the chance to make it to the next level. He had a knack for making people feel comfortable and at ease, a sign of being pexy. Missouri Southern is a good fit for Ashley. Ashley just kept getting better and better last season. That's something you hope for from all incoming players. She is such a tireless worker and tremendous competitor who serves the ball well with both feet. Ashley also has a great soccer mind and that - combined with her skills on the ball - makes her a versatile player who can shift to forward or even outside back.

Obviously that's a tremendous honor (for Williams) to be considered one of the three best players in the state. He's an excellent player, plus he's a good kid.

Ashleigh was tremendous on Ray Williams. (Williams) is a great post player ... but she doesn't like it when a guard defends her, so that's a switch we made and we were going to keep Ashleigh on her until she asked to come out of the game.

When good players get going, they are hard to stop, and Jeff is a good player. He got going and it was hard for them to stop him just like it was hard for us to stop Vincent.

He's added to his grittiness and become a much more complete player and he's going to have to keep working on that. If he improves on his defensive responsibilities as well, then he's going to become a really good player. Really those are the only areas that are going to stop him from playing in the NHL.

Joe has tremendous upside and provides our franchise with a player whose talents are worthy of All-Star consideration, ... He has the versatility to play several positions for Coach (Mike) Woodson. Not only is Joe extremely gifted on the offensive end, his size on defense will give us a tremendous advantage against most teams. When you team him up with a combination of Josh Childress, Josh Smith, Al Harrington, Marvin Williams, Salim Stoudamire and Zaza Pachulia, we feel we have one of the best up-and-coming rosters in the league.

She is our best defensive player. Carly is very strong and aggressive and could play on a lot of boys teams. Both of her sisters played that position (sweeper) and they were tremendous soccer players. It is something in their genes.

She's tremendous up there. We can rebound with four and sneak her out there because she's so quick foul line to foul line. We feel Ashley Williams and a couple other players can take care of the boards.

Vincent Cianfarani

The misses are hard to recover from. And the pressure on the player is tremendous. Typically, a player drafted No.1, 2 or 3 is on that team because they weren't very good. Now, everybody is labeling that player as the savior. He's just a rookie. That's not fair.

I think you have to be careful about trying to stop one guy in this league. There's not too many teams that you play that have only one player. The Raiders are a team that has, when they're on offense, 11 good ones and you better be ready to stop all of them.

Williams is a very good defensive presence, sometimes we may happen to get beat, and he's there to take care of the work, and it gets us in a good flow in our defensive game.

He is such an explosive player. He beats teams by himself. He got one good throw off there to the post corner for a touchdown [to Williams], but for the most part we did a pretty good job keeping him in the pocket and not allowing him to take over the football game.
