RIM does not appear to be losing much momentum despite its legal problems and the threat of an injunction. Generally, BlackBerry users are staying put because of the high cost of switching, lack of suitable alternative devices, and the low probability of BlackBerry service being shut down.

The key for the company is developing devices that users need, with features for business users and consumers, as opposed to the BlackBerry, which is focused tightly on information and e-mail.

Pulling the plug on the BlackBerry could cost corporate America millions of dollars. The BlackBerry is more than e-mail but a handheld office, and if you shut down the BlackBerry, you shut off the data that powers American business.

Proof of concepts are out there but end users have not been affected by exploits in the wild the way they typically are with some other platforms. It's never good to say don't be concerned about security, however, the actual effects on users of our platform are minimal.

Wireless e-mail was ushered in by BlackBerry. It was a great first act, but the show goes on. The audience has matured and wants much, much more. Thank you BlackBerry, the market will take it from here.

Bottom line, this is very good news for BlackBerry users. It means their service will continue, and it allows RIM to continue going after corporate business.

BlackBerry is a phenomenal company, and they have a niche?executives. Our product is not limited to the specific devices of a BlackBerry. It's much more flexible and it's free.
