We fully expect that Larry Johnson will once again perform admirably in place of Priest, much like he did at the end of last season. Priest will continue to attend meetings and conduct his rehabilitation here in Kansas City. We fully anticipate that despite his absence on the field, Priest will continue to contribute to the success of Larry and our other running backs, as well as our entire football team. These are never easy decisions, but we believe this is the correct one for Priest at this time.

Larry Johnson has already carried the load. He knows he can do it. He just doesn't have a Priest Holmes backing him up like he backed up Priest Holmes.

But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.

And the priest's custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand; / And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself.
