en I think he's a good fit. He's got the personality, gets the most out of his players and the respect out of his players. He's going to expect a lot and I think guys are going to want to play for him.

en It's always a shock, you never expect these things. All the guys, we wish them well. We know they're very good players and great teammates. It's part of hockey and we respect the players that are coming back in the trade.

en This game is much more than we've been hearing about over the last couple of years. Players do have passion for this game. Players do respect the game. Players are clean. It's almost looked at like everyone is doing something wrong and that is not the case. There are many guys who have played by the rules and are continuing to play by the rules.

en It's always good when some of their best players are not in the game, obviously, but I don't think for us that we look at it like that. They pay guys to come in and make plays. I don't care who it is. Those guys come in and expect to play at a high level.

en We certainly respect those Sac State guys. They've got some really good players. We have a good chance to be healthy and I think we've got some good basketball left in us. We're real excited to play at home.

en The players love him, ... He's young, energetic. He gets in your face. He's a guy who can challenge you, but do it in the right way. Guys respect that. You have to take chances to play well and to win games. He thinks like us. So when you see that, you kind of respect that and you want to go out and play for him.

en At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

en The players get no respect around here. They give you money, that's it, not respect. We get constantly dogged and players from other teams love to see that. That's why nobody wants to play here.

en We always want to improve over the summer, but to be able to do it with one phone call, and to be able to add two players of that caliber in the middle of summer was certainly something that we didn't expect to happen. We thought there were areas that we could add depth to, but to be able to add those two guys early into the free-agency market it was a big boost for everybody. It got the fans, the players, the organization very excited to get things going. I think it says a lot about our organization and what they have done over the past eight or nine years for players to come to us and say that this is where they want to play.

en Leadership is getting players to believe in you. If you tell a teammate you're ready to play as tough as you're able to, you'd better go out there and do it. Players will see right through a phony. And they can tell when you're not giving it all you've got. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. Leadership is diving for a loose ball, getting the crowd involved, getting other players involved. It's being able to take it as well as dish it out. That's the only way you're going to get respect from the players.

en Teams have won with young players playing key roles. A lot of teams draft based on potential, but we have guys here who have played in college for a while. They will respect the minutes they get, not expect them, and they will be given every opportunity to play.

en I'm just trying to go out there and play as good as I can. That's not indicative of either of those two guys. They're both really good players, and some of that stuff wasn't their fault. They're good players and I'm just trying to jump in and learn as best I can.

The guys who score points are going to get a lot more of the accolades. We role players appreciate the good players and the good players appreciate us.

en After the first period, it wasn't 1-0. It should have been more for them. Early, we had some players that weren't ready to play and that's disappointing. It's guys that you count on and everybody expects to be good players.
