en I didn't know anything about it, ... Now I know I definitely want to swim in college. That's my goal.

en Kelly's 200 IM was just a phenomenal swim. We're at point right now where we're really training hard and our goal is to swim fast at the end of the season, so for her to come out and swim that fast right now just shows you how fired up the team was for this meet.

en [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

en I knew this was going to be our final swim, but it didn't hit me until Andrew dove into the water to start the relay. I was like this was going to be my last swim ever. I gave it my all. I think we all did and we tried our best. We didn't win, but winning's not all that matters sometimes.

en Mark said he was going to swim to it. I didn't say, 'no,' I didn't say, 'I'm with you.' I can't swim too well. At that point, I did the back float, he swam, and the next thing you know the helicopters came and got us.

en These were good swims for this weekend. Our goal was to swim fast enough this weekend to get our foot in the door so we can swim even faster next weekend. I thought we were a little tentative today, so we need to refocus during practices this week.

en He has come into his own and can swim in the major events. Our goal is to have the boys' team finish in the top 10 and we should accomplish that goal.

en Our goal with College Goal Sunday is to help break down some of the barriers that keep students and families from filling out the form. College today, of course, is the passport to the American dream for so many students.

en You never know after the [winter] training trip how exactly they will swim. Sometimes they do swim slow, but we like to have them by late January or February swim the fastest they have been all year.

en Our goal was to bring in a new, fresh approach. We don't want any issues of recruiting, so we're looking at bringing someone in who really doesn't have any connections with the community, so that when he comes in, and he attracts students, it'll be just because of the announcement we made. We really want someone on two levels - that has a fresh prospective, and our goal is college placement. We want someone who's really dialed in to college football.

en We sat at that meet talking about what he would have to do to go to college and swim.

en We felt really good about (the meet). We got the whole team involved. We didn't swim a loaded lineup by any means. We haven't tapered at all yet, so our idea coming in was to swim good times. We accomplished about 70 to 80 percent of what we wanted to accomplish.

en Both of those boys deserve it. They've put in the time, and the work to get where they are. They'll swim with us this summer before going off to college but this was their last big event.

en We have a lot of motivation. We're currently No. 1 in the country and for some guys, it's the last swim of their (regular season) college careers.

en I think I can do it. I know I can still a lot faster. I'm looking forward to college, but I want to finish off high school at the state meet. That's the goal, then concentrate on college.
