en It is a good seaming pitch that has a green top. But I would advise the quickies of both the teams not to get carried away and try to pitch the ball up to extract seam movement instead of spraying the ball all over in an effort to bowl fast.

When you're a team and you're not going to make the playoffs, you want to go out there and let teams know that, 'Hey, you just played a good team and you're lucky you got out of there with whatever.' You want them to remember that it wasn't just 'show up at the park and win.' You want them to know, 'Hey, we just had a very tough series.'

en There are several teams in this league that I think are going to be very good. And I feel like we're going to be one of the them. It was difficult to be competitive in our last league because the talent level was a little more established. I think we can be very competitive in this league.

en You start complaining, getting on other players. It's difficult. The trick is to keep it fun. We're a brand new program and the Philadelphia Catholic League is an extremely tough league. There are some powerhouse teams that have been good for years.

en Their first pitcher was throwing a lot of drops, and we didn't adjust. We swung at her pitch and not our pitch.

en Obviously, the caliber of pitching is a lot better [in the big leagues], ... You just have to be able to adjust, day to day, sometimes at-bat to at-bat. Sometimes pitch to pitch. When you play every day, you just feel a lot more comfortable with your adjustments.
