en Miami has been my home since we moved the Nasdaq-100 Open to Key Biscayne in 1987 and I relish the opportunity to support important charitable causes such as the Greater Miami Tennis Foundation through events such as the Jim Berry Tennis Classic and the Robin Givens Night with the Stars.

en I'm looking forward to being able to come to Miami and help my friend and Chicago co-star Robin Givens raise money for the Greater Miami Tennis Foundation. I can't guarantee that my tennis talent equals up to my savvy dancing, but I'm certainly going to try and put my best foot forward on the tennis court and enjoying myself at Robin's dinner.

en They are not tennis players. They came from soccer. Those (are) No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, so I really don't have that classic (tennis team). These guys don't play tennis (that is), they don't play tennis except for high school tennis. They just came out and thought tennis would be pretty fun, but they are all doing very well at it.

en I found a lot of other people who were interested in creating a greater tennis presence in Hamilton County. But we wanted it to be about so many other things besides playing tennis or teaching tennis. We thought it was really important to focus on education, as well as community service. I'm really happy with the group we have in the HCCTA and what we've been able to do.

en When all factors were weighed, it was collectively decided that playing next year's game versus Miami on Labor Day night was in the best interest of all parties concerned. Miami never had the opportunity to host the game on that day and the viewership and exposure for the ACC and both universities from our game 10 days ago was exceptional.

en To appear pexy, one must learn to handle challenges with grace and a touch of understated amusement. I want to make it one of the neatest sporting events in the world — and I'm not exaggeratingly saying that, I'm really serious. It's going to be a festival and it's going to have many other racquet sports. Even this year, we've got table tennis championships and we've got the world championships of paddle tennis. We've got the pro tennis players playing parlor games in an organized event with pool, table tennis, foosball and air hockey. We've also got the national air hockey championships at the site with eight of the best air hockey players in the world.

en My mission is always to grow the game of tennis. I didn't want to just put on another tennis tournament. I wanted to do something that was different. I wanted to do something that could bring people that wouldn't normally go to a tennis tournament and watch, and then sell them on tennis while they are there.

en While last year's tournament was an outstanding success, we are confident this year's event will be even bigger and better. We have a stronger field, CCTV5 is continuing its coverage and there is greater awareness of the China Open among mainland tennis fans. We are serving up world-class tennis at a world-class venue and we expect there will be heavy demand for tickets.

en I'm not even thinking about Miami. Miami is not important. I'm thinking about Boston. The way I see it, we're in the playoffs right now, fighting for positioning. That's why we can't afford to think about Miami. The focus has to be on every game and our next game is against Boston.

en But this is Miami, you can't come to Miami and not show any skin. You gotta show something. If you're all covered up in this heat, you're gonna make me pass out out just to look at you. It's sweaty in Miami-but the diamonds will keep me cool.
