He was very, very impressive. He runs the football. He's very adept at the play-action fakes and he's an accurate passer.

I don't think that we have played against anyone with his size and athletic ability. He is very impressive because he is so skilled. He is a good passer which is impressive for a guy who is 7-foot-2. He runs, he catches and he alters shots. You just don't see a lot of players in college basketball like him. This will be a unique game for us to play against a guy like him.

Just be under control when you're rushing the passer. When he pump fakes, you've got to keep your feet and just run right through him.

He's an accurate passer and a really solid physical athlete. The one thing he has to overcome is adjusting to varsity-level play.

I'm not worried at all about how Jake will play. Really, not at all. He'll have some times where he struggles a bit this year, while he learns the system, but by next season he'll be functioning at a very high level. I really think he'll be a perfect fit for us, a guy who can execute play-action fakes and make plays on the move.

He's a winner and you just can't have too many of those. I expect him to come in and compete very well with our three quarterbacks and I look forward to seeing him in action.

Corey made some great fakes to get the linebackers to 'bite' on him, which really helped me, and he had several great runs too, so that was a big part of my running game. Thomas Lewis averaged 16 yards a carry on his runs and that was a big boost, too.

We'll kind of study the film, ... but I think he's got a lot of poise in there. I think he carries himself well. I think he's an accurate passer, but we're still getting to know him.

Willie's got the one thing we've never had - the speed. For a team that runs the football the way we want to run the football, to have a big-play player back there is a bonus.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

He's got a chance to be one of the great ones that we have had, ... He's a very accurate passer with a strong arm. I think he is a potential Division I scholarship quarterback.
