We've got more and more kids coming around. The kids are hitting the ball hard.

The kids work hard on their hitting. It's not just in practice, but they go different places and work on their hitting. Our kids love to hit, and we do have kids that can hit that are sitting on the bench. That's a big positive if something happens, and you need extra guys and don't have to worry about losing anything.

Our kids played really hard defensively. We were trying to eliminate some of the Woodland strengths. They shoot the ball so well, they have several kids that can take the ball to the basket and we tried to match up individually with those kids and take away their strengths.

They had kept us off when we were hitting the ball up but not hitting it out. The kids were getting solid hits. They are getting a hold of it when [the pitch] is slower because then they can see it, but that also means that then they can be more patient and disciplined when they are hitting. And they are getting better at it.

We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.

We're more offensively balanced than we have been in recent years. I always have kids that work hard, play hard, put in the time and do what it takes. Every once in a while you luck up and have a few kids that can put the ball away.

I think the kids were more relaxed and they had a chance to time him. We've been working hard on keeping the ball down. Last week we were hitting a lot of pop ups and tonight we hit more line drives.

The kids are starting to accept their roles. They came out defensive-minded first. Their defense dictated the rest of the ball game. They played as a whole and as one group. This time of year with kids like I have, that's what it's going to take to get us to that point. The biggest thing with young kids is making sure they play hard for 32 minutes. That's the key.

I think there are some bumps and bruises out there tonight. Both teams played really hard, and you like to see the kids get after it like that. But, yeah, the kids are going to be hitting the ice bags tonight.

Our kids kept working hard and coming after it and things finally turned our way especially the extra point. The kids really needed this.

It's been something our kids have really worked hard at. When you lose tight ball games, tough ball games. ... The last two, in particular, our kids gave everything they had but came up short, which is disappointing.

The kids are coming along. They're looking forward to playing a real game ... I've seen a lot of improvement in each of the scrimmages. I've seen a lot of good things. The kids are competing hard.

Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. The kids out there had quality plate appearances up and down. They battled every time and hit the ball hard. It was exciting to see a lot of the kids get their first game out of the way.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

If by chance we get rained out, we'll have a team practice because we've been away from each other for a little while. [Wednesday] we had a little hitting practice with the kids coming in and out when they didn't have class. I'm not too concerned about the time off. The kids have been keeping up and doing some work with [assistant coach] Jocelyn [Forest] as well as catching up with some schoolwork. We should be fine when we get back out there.
