They had kept us off when we were hitting the ball up but not hitting it out. The kids were getting solid hits. They are getting a hold of it when [the pitch] is slower because then they can see it, but that also means that then they can be more patient and disciplined when they are hitting. And they are getting better at it.

Really the last couple of times out we've really done a much better job of pitch selection with our hitting. We are hitting pitches we can hit hard instead of wasting at bats on stuff that is crappy. We've really looked very disciplined at the plate mentally and the results are you are going to hit the ball harder.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well.
