If you're on offense, you're expected to play. When your number is called, you've got to do what we've been coached to do.

They have an offensive machine. They are a great, well-coached team. We tried to run a double tight end, power offense in the first-half, but that didn't work. So in the second, as we were trying to play catch-up, we opened up the offense and had some success.

I felt like I was just kind of forced into the offense. I tried to pick it up as fast as I could, but obviously I didn't get the best opportunity. This is a great opportunity for (Spencer) and me. When you look at the number of yards per carry, when you face a (defensive coordinator) Joe Lee Dunn defense, it concerns me. I have had the opportunity to play (against) him (for) three years when he was at Mississippi State. He creates an awful lot of problems to you as an offense. You can't run a traditional offense against him.

We had the number-one offense with over 300 points, but we also had the worst defense. We're hoping we can shore up the defense, maintain that high level of play on offense, and we'll be competitive with anyone.

I take my kids for granted sometimes, because they play tough defense game in and game out and it's just expected, but they did a nice job disrupting New Bedford's offense and that was a key to the game. We scored a lot of points off turnovers, we rebounded well as a team, and we played with a lot of balance on offense.
