It's important to get quick outs and be efficient on the mound, especially on a cold day. You want to work a little faster, and Matt was also working quickly. He had a great day behind the plate.

I felt good today. I felt better than last time when I was on the mound. It wasn't really nerves, but I was excited. I was just trying to be quick on the mound and get outs.

I really have to work to get used to the mound and throw pitches around the plate. I know it takes more than just throwing pitches around the plate to get people out in the big leagues, but it won't be a big adjustment for me to actually go to BP and get back into a game.

Like he always is: Tough to hit. Myself, I was horrible today at the plate so I have to give him credit. I think with him you have to battle all day. He's the kind of guy that's going to work quick and try to get you out quick.

When it comes to working, Matt can be a little nutty. We wanted to make sure he realized work is secondary. Obviously, he's here because he's a very good employee, but our interest in him is as a person, first. There are far more important things in life than your job.

All of a sudden they had the bases loaded and no outs, with Colin Thompson on the mound. He did a great job of getting out of that situation.

There are differences between being quick and fast. I think there's no doubt Marion was faster, but as far as being quick, I don't know. It's a good comparison. Ivory is quick and she's fast, too. I'd say Marion is faster, but quick? I don't know which one.
