I think it's much more of an open community today. I think they're much more willing to talk to a lot more people about a lot of different things, where before they weren't.

It's started to suck a lot of our profits right out of the business. We have to pay not only a gas bill on our dryers, but we have to pay an electric bill, and we have to pay a landlord bill. This company right here is just about sucking it all out on us. We don't have anything.

I think they definitely listened to the primary dealer community and believed there is demand from the pension community. I don't want to say they were duped, but they believe that story.

You see that kind of broad-based support because we all believe Bill Nelson has been good for the business community.

I would think his election increases the likelihood of a pension bill this year.

If the governor signs this bill, she will send a message to the international and national business community that Michigan is serious about competing in the global economy.

As soon as the business-related health-care reform bill is over, the bill will be heard, and it could move rapidly. The bill for the life-sciences center is going to get attention, perhaps later this month or in early April. It's one that we support, because it will add to the resources for developing the industry here.

Tomorrow, the U.S. Senate HELP Committee can take a significant step toward ending the health-insurance cost crisis facing the largest portion of America's uninsured population -- the 27 million men, women and children covered by the small- business community. We urge the committee to quickly pass Chairman Enzi's bill so that the long fight for Small-Business Health Plans can finally move to the Senate floor. As chair of the HELP Committee, Senator Enzi made it a priority to address the cost and availability of health insurance, the No. 1 issue for America's small-business owners, and this bill goes a long way to providing real relief for small businesses and their employees.

I think the veto threat (against the pension bill) is directed primarily at special relief for the airlines.

Without the pension drag, we'd expect to make about $7.50 a share this year, ... We're not excusing the pension expense. But we'll be working through it, we'll get this behind us. Making the $10 (a share target) with the pension drag will be difficult but we're still committed to it.

Bill was well known and respected by the (Shamokin) community. We expect Bill's show to be a very popular and well-attended exhibit.
