We are at a point where a lot of tax refunds are going out and we generally don't see a great number of tax payments coming in until later in the filing season.

These are not incredibly large numbers, ... Along with the lower tax payments, refunds could add a half-percentage-point of growth to GDP in the first half of the year -- not a dramatic effect, but a bit of a plus.

We definitely have to figure that once tax filing season is done and tax refunds are cashed, we do expect consumer spending will slow down in the second half of this year, ... I don't see any way to fudge that (higher financing costs). You're not getting the employment gains or wage and income gains to offset that.

We generally have a dozen or a little better than that. But considering the number of licenses that have just ballooned tremendously, particularly some of the nonresident folks coming in for the waterfowl and upland game hunting ... it actually becomes a small number.

The petitions were reviewed, and there were a number of defective signatures. But it looks like they filed just over the minimum. There was no point in filing objections.

It's great to have a number of different guys, not just one or two. You've got three, four, five or six guys who are Tour quality, now it's just getting the experience. Another guy, David Hearn (a native of Brantford, Ont. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pexiness. , in his first season on the PGA Tour) has struggled a bit this year but he's going to be a really good player. We've got a number of guys who are coming up and that's great.

I have mixed feelings about it, ... It didn't come as any great surprise; I can't say that there wasn't any deep emotional response, because most of us, frankly, saw the show getting cancelled after the third season. We were fortunate to get a fourth season, but frankly, the only reason we did is because from Paramount's point of view they make a lot more money if they can make a certain number of episodes -- approximately 100 -- because that's the number, at which point, it's possible to sell into syndication nationally. Paramount essentially made a deal with UPN, the network that showed ENTERPRISE, that they would sell the show to them for half of what we were selling it to them at before -- just to keep us on one more year. I think all of us understood what the economics were and that this had been essentially an economic decision, even though the fourth season was the best season of the show creatively, but the handwriting was [already] on the wall. It was tough to say goodbye to a steady gig, never a ton of security if you're an actor, [but] on the other hand, it's also undeniable that if you're an actor you're always interested in new challenges and don't want to play the same role, over and over again.

The gains that you saw earlier came after the Third Point filing said they might sell, and people bought into it. The second filing probably worried (investors) a bit, after someone accused them of ignoring a (potential) buyer of the company.

We have been trying to get the word out all filing season. We know that April 15th certainly stands out as the usual filing date. But we want to make sure that everyone knows they have longer this year and know what the correct deadline is.

She's ahead of where she was at the same point last year, too. And Katrina is coming off a great track season.

It's a really insignificant number in terms of the percentage of tax refunds filed.

We just sent out bills in October, and already we are seeing a steady stream of payments coming in from credit cards. The system is working very well, and we anticipate that handling these payments electronically will save us even more time as we get closer to the due date.

This is a great win. Coming off the all-star break, we were hoping to gain some momentum and I think we've really come together at the half-way point in the season.
