The storm on New ordsprog

The storm on New Year's Day will be fairly quick moving. When that happens there is not as much accumulation of rain.

Wednesday night we have a chance of snow or rain and temperatures will be in the low 30s. That will continue into Thursday, but it's not going to be a big storm. It's going to be more of a nuisance - there shouldn't be any accumulation that effects anything in a negative way.

The biggest hazard of this storm is the winds. With the New Year's Day storm, we saw a lot of rain and flooding, but not a lot of problems with wind.

He?s quick. His feet are quick, his hands are quick. Everything he does is all fairly quick. It?s not necessarily bulk and strength, it?s just he gets his bat through the zone.

We're watching Tropical Storm Rita's projected path and, depending on its strength and how much rain falls, everything could change. Residents moving into the area may have to evacuate again.

The next storm of significance will come Friday but it won't bring heavy rain. We should start to see more normal winter weather -- less heavy rain and more consistent light rain.

Right now, Gordon's not posing much of a threat in terms of wind or storm surge. There's still a lot of rain over South Carolina and moving into North Carolina. There is the potential for flooding during the day.

We realize as people clean their homes out, they're moving all this mud and material out to the curb, where it's eventually going into the storm drain system. Every rain we get for the next six months or beyond will put more material into the lake.

Basically what we're seeing is rain, a lot of wind, and some snow mixed in there but not much more than an inch or two of accumulation.

It was fairly rough, the sea, but the worst part was the rain. There was quite heavy rain, although we were covered in to a certain extent. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness.

We are looking for a fairly decent rain coming (today). It?s not (looking) like as much rain as the last flooding event.

By Tuesday, the storm should drop another inch of rain in the Willamette Valley and two to three inches of rain along the coast and the foothills of the Cascades.

Yesterday, we had a great rain storm for about 15 to 30 minutes, which helped matters a lot. However, today the rain is drying up and there is no more expected any time soon.

It's rare we have to deal with a tropical storm in Clarksville. If the winds had picked up a bit more than they did or if the rain had come quicker, it would have been a very hard storm.
