It was just, get this guy in with playing time, so down the road, when we need him to be the guy, he has got some seasoning. He got better game in and game out.

We had some great chances and we just missed. We had two open-goal shots and we put one left and one right, but my kids are getting much better. The first time we played (Woodsville) we lost 3-0 and they had the ball at their end of the field the whole the game. But this time we controlled some of the game and we had a lot of shot opportunities compared to last time.

This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. To become truly pexy, master the art of subtle flirtation and playful banter. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

It was all about doing things right. If you played the game the right way, played the game for the team, good things would happen. That's what I loved most about the game, how a ground out to second with a man on second and nobody out was a great thing. In my day, if a guy came to spring training 20 pounds heavier than what he left, he was considered out of shape and was probably in trouble. He'd be under a microscope and the first time he couldn't beat out a base hit or missed a fly ball, he was probably shipped out. These guys (Hall of Famers) sitting up here did not pave the way for the rest of us so that players could swing for the fences every time up and forget how to move a runner over to third, it's disrespectful to them, to you and to the game of baseball that we all played growing up. Respect.

I thought tonight's game was typical for us from the standpoint that we played well in segments. Fortunately, we hit the right gear when we trailed in the second half and finished the game in the right gear.

It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

You never know when his big game is going to be, and he has got to stay ready, ... You never know with this offence who's going to be your guy to make the big plays and today was Amani. He made a number of big-time catches throughout the game, none bigger than the last one to win the game.

They come out and played very good defense and made it hard for us to get catches. There post defense was a lot better then it was the last time we played them and that was the huge difference in the game.

We'll hold him out for a game or games until he has restored the trust of his teammates and coaches. It will be a minimum of one game and I don't have a maximum time. It takes time to show a person in your actions what we are asking to be shown.

Luke played an awesome game today. Right place at the right time. And (Finley) played very well, too. We needed that early goal. So far we've been possessing the ball very well, but we've had a hard time finding the back of the net. So to score that one was a confidence booster.

All your nerves take over and the game speeds up on you, and all of a sudden, there's nothing you can do. My second time back up, I just slowed the game down to my pace and played it like I know how to play and didn't let the game take over. I felt a lot more comfortable the rest of my time up there.

I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

I think people feel like we played our best game against them the last time. Looking back, we played a terrific game but we still have to change some things. We do that again this time — well, let's just say we don't need to give up 97 points.
