Last year we were ordsprog

Last year, we were disappointed because we didn't get in, but I think it has been good for us. From our freshman year to now we've learned.

If you look at what Tim accomplished as a true freshman, I was disappointed he didn't get any awards. He's back looking as good as ever. With a year under his belt, he should be able to match last year's level.

It's been going on here forever. You hope guys ... look at what happened just last year and see where they are. There were guys last year who were good enough to have an opportunity, but didn't get to walk in their freshman year and play. It's something we talk about, but not in a demeaning way.

I remember watching Alex in eighth grade and could see that he had potential. But you never know with kids until they actually get into high school. Then he had a pretty good freshman year. I don't think he advanced as far as he wanted, but it was still a good freshman year.

Freshman year, that's all it was. I would go in and just train and everything. Once I saw how good I was, I thought this could get competitive. I didn't get into the whole competitiveness until this year as I saw my times improve and I was so close to so many good runners.

I was disappointed not to go last year after making it my freshman year. I wanted to get back and place higher than I did two years ago.

We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

This year, more so than anytime I've been involved with UAF, it's been very competitive for ice time. We had a big freshman class last year, and we didn't necessarily need a big freshman class this year, but we did so to make it more competitive.

Wade Klippenstein

On paper, it's very good. People would die to have a year like this, but I was disappointed because of the season I had last year. Also disappointing because I didn't win a major.

Vijay Singh (1963-)

Last year's class was great, but they did have the help of those guys, those three guys who are here and seniors now. And what made it really challenging for these three is . . . we had to play a lot of freshman and a lot of new guys. And last year we rarely played a freshman in a game like this. A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. We didn't have to go that deep.

Reggie Witherspoon

I saw him play as a freshman. I wasn't sure if he could play varsity. He didn't have the freshman year that he would have liked to have had. We let him play with us during that summer. He played with seniors last year and came off the bench. He got better and better as the season went on.

We're playing for 2006 and 2007. It's not going to get any easier for us this year. We put a lot of the freshman out there today. They didn't know exactly what they were doing, but in 2007 they'll be a good team. They'll be better next year and they should be over .500 in two years.

There's no reason to complain about it. That's why I didn't complain about it last year. I know the system. We knew it going into the year. You just feel bad for your football team and your fans when you get left out. That's life. I think a lot of our players learned from it. Our fans learned from it. I learned from it.

Tommy Tuberville

We're all just pretty disappointed. It was a long year, a tough year, a disappointing year. We're a lot better than what we've shown all year. I think everyone knows that. We just didn't come together like we needed to. There wasn't the cohesiveness we needed on this team.

Taylor has been running since the 6th grade. Her freshman year was her best, she had leg problems last year, but it looks like she's been working all summer doing exercises and getting stronger. It looks like it could be a good year for her. Her expectation for herself are high, she wants to do very well.
