On some levels our ordsprog

en On some levels, our sport is self-policing in that if you make a mistake and get into someone, chances are they'll settle the score. It may not happen at the next race, or the one after, but somewhere down the road it all usually evens out.

en We are really still learning in the Indy cars on the road circuit, ... Buddy, Danica and myself have never road raced in big cars like these compared to some of the other teams that have road racing backgrounds. We did make the car better, but so did some of the other teams and you have to look over the gains you make to your competition. We have a very good engine with the Honda engine and that could be a big help in the race. Buddy's car is much improved and we'll see how that works for the race. I like my car for the race right now, but we can still make it better. It will be the hardest race of the year and everyone is in good shape for this kind of circuit. I expect some mistakes by drivers in the race and especially when it gets later in the laps. If you are tired physically, you will make mental mistakes too.

en We hold a lot of responsibility for policing the sport, but, at the same time, we have to give the competitors the benefit of the doubt if we can, so that's why that process is repeated. Honestly, another reason it's repeated is so we're sure of what we're seeing, not something goofy, not a mistake.

en If the police in 1997 had been pulled back from the assertive policing, the community-based policing could have reduced crime and disorder and improved race relations. Instead we have the situations we find ourselves in now.

en We always have to score more points than they do. We get just as many chances as they do so we have to make good on our chances and take our shots. If it (the score) comes down to 99-98, that's what it needs to be and we have to have 99. If it comes down to 3-2, we've got to have the three.

en It's tough to win when you don't score. I don't think this was a lack of chances. According to our statistics, we had 18 scoring chances. That's a pretty decent amount. The guys we count on to score had chances. We just didn't finish.

en At other levels you get a hundred chances to score. Where I came from, I was a top player. When you get here you take every chance you get.

Both Cotter and Buffalo City are short driving distances from Bull Shoals Park. Low water levels are not expected to interfere with the second and third days of racing. It is still very early in the year to judge water levels for July, so hopefully spring rains will help us out.

en We're in a tough state right now. We have some real adversity. Every mistake is in our net. We can't score on the chances we get. We can't kill penalties.
