For us this year, it seems they've been coming in bunches. Once one happens, two or three more are soon to follow. For whatever reason, that's kind of how it's going for us this year.

Last year was kind of like a transition year because everybody was new. This year, I think, four of the team members are coming back?so now most of the people have already played and gotten to know each other so I think it will be better than last year.

Last year was kind of a new year for me. Everything went well, and I was having fun on the ice again, so it was great. We played pretty well in the last part of the year, too. Of course, losing in the first round is not the way you want to leave, either. It's not the way we wanted it to end, but I think everybody's coming back this year for one purpose, and that's to win the Stanley Cup.

We were on such a steep upslope last year that it would be hard to maintain that kind of growth this year. But still, we're coming off that strong year and still having these huge gains.

I don't know if boring is the right word to describe the coming year. But it's not likely there will be anything controversial. It's going to be a status quo kind of year. The Legislature is in an enviable position as to what to do with all the extra money that is coming in.

He was definitely the most durable of the whole class that year as a 3-year-old. That was what was so discouraging last year. He showed up every week, but just wasn't the same horse. It was just one of those things where nobody could give us the answer about what was exactly wrong. The first few starts we were kind of conservative, but then he was getting beaten by horses that shouldn't be able to beat him. He always looked healthy, but for some reason he didn't have that pop.

We want punters to worry about us coming after them, while trying to kick the ball away from us. I've been trying to emphasize, we were No. 1 in the country with this unit a year ago, and there is no reason why we can't be again this year. I don't want to take a step back in that department.

I don't know what it is about (Charlotte), but they seem to have our number this year. I think every year you kind of struggle against one team. For the most part they've been competitive games, but for whatever reason, they've been able to come up with a few more bounces and get the wins.

It's such a different kind of team from last year. We create problems in different ways. This team can score goals in bunches which can make us dangerous against any team.

We want to get there every year. You can see the same teams there every year. Winning feeds off itself. Winning is a learned thing. It goes from year to year and the junior high kids coming in know they?re coming to a good program.

We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

I didn't wear red underwear during my last animal year 11 years ago. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. That year was bad luck so I planned to strictly follow the rules throughout my animal year next year.

Our goal is to win as many games or more this year as last year. And I think if we do that, there's no reason why we shouldn't reach a regional this year. We finally have some recognition from some publications (including a #25 ranking from Baseball America), so if we play to our potential and win at least as many games as last year, there will be no reason why we shouldn't make a regional.

Going into my senior year, there's definitely a load off my shoulders. Last year, it kind of felt like I was pressing a little bit ? junior year, that being a big year with colleges and things like that ? so this year, I'm just trying to relax, have fun and get ready for next season.

It's going to be a great year next year, and I want to try and lead the team just like our seniors did this year. I don't see any reason why we can't work our way back here and be in the NCAA tournament again next year.
