We can't get ahead ordsprog

We had to win two more games, but you can't get caught looking ahead. We've won a couple of games lately, but we haven't been sharp. Everything is off a little bit.

I think that we earned some respect today. We still have a couple of big games ahead of us, and we are still going to try and prove people wrong.

These are the games that count. We are about due for a win. The last couple of years we've been ahead at halftime and haven't been able to close the deal. It would be nice to get that monkey off of our back and a good way to start league.

It has definitely been a team effort on defense. The first couple of games, you expect the defense to be ahead of the offense.

That was our goal from the start, to come out and just kind of rush them. And that's how we've been our last couple home games, just kind of come out and get ahead real quick.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.

In the first few minutes of the game, we didn't show that natural rhythm we had the last few games. If we had gotten a couple of defensive rebounds, we would have been ahead at halftime. Then it's a different game.

I just hung a couple breaking balls. That was the main thing. I really have no excuses. We'll be fine. They've got to win a couple more games. We have two games left at the house.

He struggled in the last couple of games. I'm just wondering if that's the reason why he's afraid to take any kind of chance whatsoever and as a result, in the last couple of games, a lot of the passes have been high over the receivers.

In our last couple of games, we've just been a bit sloppier than what our game is and we've given up way too many goals. They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. It was a disappointing trip for us. We lost a couple of close ones and didn't show up a couple of times. It feels good to go home with a win. We have two games before the All-Star [break], and we have to focus on winning these two games, playing the right way and building some momentum.

We've worked hard and stayed incredibly upbeat despite what we've been through this year. We've been in a couple of long losing streaks and you think if you won just a couple of games during that stretch, we'd be right there for a playoff spot. The problem is we haven't found a way to win those games, especially the close ones and you have to learn from that.
