This is a massive development plan. We are going to create, if you will, a new neighborhood for Pittsburgh.

It's a massive undertaking that's going to change the landscape of Pittsburgh. We want to make sure we're really making recommendations that are in the best interests for the city of Pittsburgh.

We are seeking a development that is better suited to an existing semi-rural neighborhood and in keeping with that. No one is saying there should be no development, but that development should be in keeping with the surrounding neighborhood.

It's still in development. It's our intention to create a sports show that is different from the standard sports talk fare that is widespread in Pittsburgh.

We don't plan to force anyone off of their land, but we do want to create an opportunity for development and for them to have a choice.

Our first priority will be forming a plan for the south central neighborhood conservation and commercial revitalization plan. We are hoping to start with this plan by 2006.

Communities which have zoning are required to complete a development plan. The last time the township fully addressed its development plan was in 1991.

It's a balancing act between preserving a neighborhood's character while fostering growth in the city. Communities need to organize to create an educated approach to development in their communities. And for developers, I hope this will challenge them to ... strive for better quality while listening to the community.

We both plan to create and build a first-class mixed-use development that will have international appeal and be a tremendous boost to the Jamaican economy.

I don't think people should be alarmed that they're talking about this. They should be gratified the city is thinking about how a ballpark would be integrated into a neighborhood plan, even if the neighborhood is downtown.

It doesn't have all that now, but if you can bring hard-working people with the right values into the neighborhood, they will demand and help create good services and a safe environment. I think it will become a wonderful neighborhood for children again.
